Trust & Safety

Dignity first.Consent always.

Pitch Your Parent is built around the foundation of family making introductions, privacy controls, and a simple belief: good company should never come at the cost of dignity or trust.

Nothing is shared. No introduction happens. No profile goes live without parent approval.

Your parent stays in control.

Pitch Your Parent is not designed to take over anyone’s social life. It is designed to make warm, respectful introductions easier while keeping older parents in control of what is shared, who they meet, and how quickly they move.

Parent approval required

A family member can help create a profile, but the parent reviews and approves it before anything is shared.

No public profiles

Profiles are not publicly searchable. Introductions happen through controlled, parent-approved visibility.

Every introduction is optional

Parents can say yes, no, or not right now. There is no pressure to meet anyone.

Privacy

Privacy by design.

Pitch Your Parent is built for personal introductions, not public browsing. Older parents should not feel exposed, searchable, or displayed.

Controlled visibility

Profiles are shared only with the families we are introducing.

No public search

Profiles are not indexed publicly or made available for strangers to browse.

Photo controls

Parents decide which photos are included. Tell us and we will change or remove any photo.

Family helper support

A parent chooses whether an adult child or trusted family member helps with messages, introductions, or logistics.

Pause anytime

Parents or family helpers can pause a profile if the timing no longer feels right.

Warm introductions

Start warm, not cold.

Pitch Your Parent does not ask older parents to meet strangers without context. Many introductions begin with family-to-family messaging, an optional adult-child call, or a short video introduction where family members help make the first hello easier.

  1. 01

    Family-to-family context

Families can exchange a short note about why the introduction may be a fit.

  2. 02

    Parent review

The parent decides whether the introduction feels comfortable.

  3. 03

    Warm first hello

Parents can start with phone, video, tea, lunch, a walk, or a small gathering.

  4. 04

    Family support if wanted

A trusted family member can join the first few minutes or help coordinate.

We don’t ask older parents to meet strangers. We help families make warm introductions.

First meetups

First meetups should feel simple, public, and comfortable.

The best first meetups are low-pressure and easy to leave if either person is not comfortable.

  • Meet during the daytime
  • Choose a public place
  • Pick a quiet venue where conversation is easy
  • Consider easy parking or drop-off
  • Keep the first meetup short
  • Tell a family member where you are going
  • Bring a family member if that feels better
  • Avoid private homes for first meetups
  • Do not share financial or sensitive personal information
  • Trust your instincts

Suggested first meetups

  • Tea or coffee
  • A short walk
  • Lunch in a quiet public place
  • A library or museum cafe
  • A family-supported video call
  • A small group gathering
Solicitation

Good company should never involve money pressure.

Pitch Your Parent is for friendship and companionship. It is not a place to request money, investments, gifts, loans, business deals, private financial information, or favors.

  • No asking for money
  • No investment pitches
  • No requests for banking or financial information
  • No pressure to buy products or services
  • No romantic or manipulative solicitation
  • No off-platform pressure that makes someone uncomfortable
  • Report any request that feels inappropriate

If someone asks for money, gifts, financial information, or private documents, stop the conversation and report it.

Reporting

You can end any introduction, anytime.

Parents and family helpers should feel comfortable ending an interaction that does not feel right.

  • Tell us if something feels off
  • Pause introductions
  • Remove your profile
  • Contact us directly
  • Involve a family helper
  • Decline without explanation

You never owe anyone continued communication. A respectful introduction can still end with a simple no.

Family helper

Family can help without taking over.

Some parents want to manage their own introductions. Others prefer help from a child, grandchild, sibling, niece, nephew, or trusted friend.

Pitch Your Parent allows family support while keeping the parent’s consent at the center.

Support should feel like support, not control.

  • Creating a profile draft
  • Uploading photos
  • Reviewing introductions
  • Scheduling a first call
  • Helping with technology
  • Joining the first few minutes of a call
  • Coordinating transportation
  • Checking in after a meetup

A note from us

Trust is not a feature. It is the foundation.

Pitch Your Parent exists because many older parents would enjoy more good company, but they should never have to sacrifice dignity, privacy, or control to find it.

We believe family can help make introductions warmer, but parents should always remain the decision-makers.

The goal is simple: help good people meet in a way that feels safe, respectful, and human.

Good company should feel good from the first step.

Create a warm, parent-approved profile built around consent, dignity, and trust.

Nothing is shared and no introduction happens without parent approval.
