We believe older parents deserve good company without losing dignity or control.
Pitch Your Parent helps families create warm, parent-approved introductions so older parents can meet walking buddies, tea friends, lunch companions, and small gatherings nearby.

Why we started Pitch Your Parent
Many adult children notice the same thing: a parent's world has quietly gotten smaller.
Often it happens after a move. A parent relocates to be closer to their children and grandchildren, and leaves behind the friends, neighbors, and routines they spent decades building. The family is nearby, but the parent's own social world is not.
At the same time, most older parents do not want to be managed, pitied, or pushed into a generic program.
Pitch Your Parent began with a simple question:
What if families could help older parents meet good company nearby — while parents stayed fully in control?
What we believe
Dignity first
Older parents are not problems to solve. They are whole people with stories, preferences, humor, wisdom, and agency.
Consent always
Family can help create an introduction, but parents decide what is shared, who they meet, and how quickly to move.
Good company matters
A walk, tea, lunch, or a small gathering can make life feel more connected.
Family can open the door
Adult children often see the need first. They can help with photos, stories, technology, and introductions — without taking over.
Warm beats cold
We do not ask older parents to meet strangers. We help families create warm introductions with context and trust.
A full life deserves to be seen
A parent is more than a current photo and a list of hobbies. Greatest Hits help show the fuller story.
Friendship later in life should not be this hard.
So many older adults have rich stories, generous hearts, and decades of wisdom — but fewer natural ways to meet new people nearby.
Senior centers are not for everyone. Dating apps are the wrong category. Care platforms focus on needs, not friendship. And many older parents would never create a profile for themselves.
Adult children often want to help, but they do not know how to do it without making their parent feel uncomfortable.
Pitch Your Parent exists for that gap.
Not senior dating. Not senior care. Just good company.
Pitch Your Parent is not about romance, medical care, transportation, or managing daily life. It is about helping families make warm, respectful introductions for friendship and companionship.
Senior dating
focuses on romance.
Senior care
focuses on needs and tasks.
Senior centers
focus on activities and programs.
Pitch Your Parent
focuses on family-introduced, parent-approved companionship.
We want people to see the person your family sees.
A current photo helps someone recognize your parent. Greatest Hits help someone understand them.
Maybe your mom was a teacher, cook, traveler, singer, nurse, host, reader, gardener, volunteer, or storyteller. Maybe your dad coached Little League, built furniture, served his community, loved baseball, or made everyone laugh quietly at dinner.
Those moments matter. They help others see the full person behind the introduction.
This is not about looking younger. It is about being seen more fully.
Family can help. Parents decide.
Every part of Pitch Your Parent is designed around parent approval.
A family member can help create a profile
Upload photos and write a warm introduction
Coordinate a first call or meeting
Nothing is shared without the parent's approval
Parents can edit, decline, pause, or remove photos
Parents choose who to meet and what pace feels right
Our hope
We hope Pitch Your Parent helps families create small, human moments:
- A mother finding someone nearby for tea.
- A father meeting a walking buddy.
- A widow joining a gentle lunch circle.
- A grandparent finding a small circle nearby.
- A family watching a parent's new town start to feel like home.
This is not about creating a busy social calendar. It is about making a warm introduction to a small circle easier.
A note from our founders
We started Pitch Your Parent because of our mothers.
Both of them moved later in life to be closer to family. And both found that the hardest part of the move was not the boxes. It was starting over socially. The friends, neighbors, and routines they had built over decades stayed behind.
When Gautam suggested his mom meet a few women nearby, her first answer was no. Her second was a question: would they share her background? Not long after, she joined a morning walk with a small group of women who did. She never would have set it up herself, and she did not need to be managed. She needed a warm introduction from someone who loved her.
That is what we are building.
